Granite and Fixtures and Porches, oh my!

Here are a few updated pics of the house!

This one is of the master vanity. I got rectangle sinks and I love them! They are just a little different, but I really like them. :)



Here is the kitchen counter that is open to the great room, it looks like the counter doesn't curve right, but trust me it does, this pic just makes it look weird. :)

One of my favorite rooms, the study! I just had to have this light fixture and I am so glad I sprung for it! It looks great! I wanted a pic of the dining room light fixture too, but the hubby got tired of taking pics. Don't worry, when I get out there tomorrow there will be pics. :)



And finally, our ABSOLUTE favorite room in the house is done.....the screened in porch! It is HUGE and we LOVE it!

We are thinking we will be all done 5/29/09, around the first week of June at the latest and we are set to close with the bank 6/11/09! It's hard to imagine its almost done because it still seems like so much more is needed, but really its just finishing the hardwoods, doing the final hardware installs (appliances, door knobs, etc), landscaping and sidewalks. YAY!!!

Paint and breakfast table

So I took a day off work (I had one left to use before June 1st) and spent it with my hubby. We went to see the house and saw that some paint was on the walls! They just started spraying and I guess that's the easy part for them, because the rest looks like it will have to be hand painted because its so close to the trim. Here are some pics of the paint....

And lastly, we got to go furniture shopping yesterday. All we had left to buy was 2 barstools and the breakfast nook table and we found one we loved and bought it. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but the barstools and table chairs all match and I love that! Plus, they are extra comfy. The only sad part is since we have bought all the furniture I don't have a reason to shop anymore. :( I never thought I would ever have a round table, but we just fell in love, so we got it!

Drywall and Trim all Done!

This weekend alot was done when we went to see the house! They had done most of the trim and all the drywall was completely done! They had also done the tile in the bathrooms and the most exciting part was seeing the tile in the shower! It's the only part of the tile that hasn't been grouted, but that's ok.

Here's a pic of the cheap version of waynes coating that we did....its a lot cheaper than the panels, and it looks really good! All you have to pay for is little bit of trim to make the squares out of, and then the entire bottom half gets painted white. It looks really good when its all done!

Here's is an updated pic of the outside of the house. The only thing left to do on the outside is pour the front porch, steps, and walkways (and of course the screened in porch that I can't WAIT for!!! ) =)

Next weekend should be VERY exciting! They say that the house inside should be ALL painted and all the cabinets/countertops should be in! I can't wait!!!!!

On a side note, I have successfully finished my first graduate class! YAY! I even got an "A" and was super excited! One down only nine more to go!
