Pics of the House

Here are some pics of the house....we are still waiting on our furniture (that is now due in by the end of July) so please excuse the patio furniture we are using as living room furniture and the lack of our master bedroom furniture and study furniture! :) haha.

Here is one of the guest bedrooms. The other one looks just like it but won't be photographed because we are living in that one and stuff is everywhere right now, since we are still in the process of putting stuff up.

All Moved In!

Well it has been awhile since I posted and there is lots to update.


1) we closed on the house


2) We moved in the house (so far only missing 2 pair of pants, not too bad I guess)


3) We have found a new puppy to join our clan (little Moose will come home 7/25/09)



So far that is all, but I am sure there is more. I am going to try and update pics of the house tomorrow. But for now, here are some pics of baby Moose!

Floors

Just a quick pic Brad sent me today of the floors...aren't they pretty?!





Hardwoods finish tomorrow and carpet finishes Thursday...then its just a bunch of little things (basically fixing other things like doors that don't lock right, outlets that don't have power, light fixtures that we can't seem to turn on or off, ya know the little stuff!) We are closing on the 19th! YAY!

Tress, Trees, and more Trees. And a few delays

OK, so we came across a great deal and got about 110 trees for free! We got about 100 Leyland Cypress, 2 dogwoods, 2 redbuds, 1 weeping cherry, and 3 plums for free! The only trick was that we had to plant them....yuck! But after it is all done they look great! Here is a pic after we did the front trees (we lined our front property line with 55 so we could block the road). I know they look really tiny here, but if you look closely you can see they are the same height as the port-o-john and dumpster in the background. They stand at about 6 ft. tall. Can you imagine planting all those...yeah it was NO fun!

On another note, thanks to our lovely electrical inspector, we are a bit delayed. We didn't get power until today and the HVAC has to run 2 days before they can start sanding and staining the floors (due to humidity in the house). So....that probably doesn't put us at completing until next week 6/12. We are going to HAVE to close on the 19th because my rate lock expires on the 21st (which is a Sunday) and interest rates have already gone up since I locked at 4.875. I hope the appraiser is ok with partly finished floors! haha. I am sure he will be, and if he comes after wednesday they should be all done.....BUT the carpet won't be down yet...oh well, it will all work out. Hopefully. :(
